1954，美國搖滾歌手Eddie Cochran和另位並無親屬關係的Hank Cochran組成了二重唱團體「Cochran Brothers」，因而決定離開才上了一年的高中，走上職業音樂人的道路，但也才一年此團體就解散了，之後成為了獨唱藝人。

1956與1957，Eddie Cochran分別演出了兩部電影《The Girl Can't Help It》( 台譯：春風得意 )、《Untamed Youth》( 野性青春？)，並唱紅了片中的歌曲《Twenty Flight Rock》( 此曲為「披頭合唱團」的Paul McCartney在15歲時被介紹給16歲的John Lennon的試唱曲之一 ) 及《Sittin' in the Balcony》，而真正讓Cochran大紅的成名曲應是1958的《Summertime Blues》( US #8 )，另同年發行的此首《C'mon Everybody》( US #35 )也是為Cochran的招牌歌之一，此兩曲均為Cochran與他的經紀人Jerry Capehart所合寫。

Eddie Cochran不僅會唱歌、會寫歌，除了吉他還會彈貝士、鋼琴與打鼓 ( 曾擔任過錄音室的樂手 )，人又長得帥，也演出過電影。他的形象是穿著得體、迷人的年輕人，但卻流露出叛逆的態度，在1950年代中期至1960年代初，捕捉到了青少年的挫折感和慾望，成為了50年代搖滾樂的樣板人物。但「天妒英才」，1960，在英國的巡迴演唱之後，不幸因車禍喪生，僅享年21歲。

以下另貼影音中的美國歌手Brian Setzer ( 未戴帽者 )，1980-1984曾組了以演唱5、60年代復古歌曲的Stray Cats樂團而享有知名度。1987，參與電影《La Bamba》( 為已故搖滾歌手Ritchie Valens自傳式電影 ) 的演出，在片中飾演Eddie Cochran並演唱Cochran的《Summertime Blues》，想來之後自認是Cochran最佳的分身代言人，可惜影音中此老兄的吉他音效不佳。倒是兩位日本歌手布袋寅泰、Char ( 竹中久人 ) 表現精彩，尤其吉他的獨奏技術高超，令人激賞。
