此曲為美國鄉村女歌手Sara Evans於2004所發行專輯《Restless》中的第三首單曲，在告示牌鄉村排行榜拿下第1名的佳績，也是Sara自2001後再度奪得鄉村榜冠軍的歌曲。
Sara自6歲起即參與其家庭的合唱團並擔任主唱，但在8歲時發生嚴重車禍，在床上躺了6個星期，痊癒後患了「創傷後壓力症候群」卻不自知 ( 此病症日後也確實影響到她的演藝生涯 )。1991，20歲的Sara與哥哥共赴納許維爾尋求發展，期間因結婚曾離開3年，1997終於如願與RCA唱片公司簽下7張專輯的合約。也在1998以《No Place That Far》奪得了她的第一首鄉村冠軍曲。
此曲也算是首趣味歌曲。女孩長大之後為了愛情就跟男友跑了，只留了一張「sorry,but I got to Go」的紙條及一桶肥皂泡沫，感覺有點「女大不中留」般的絕情。其實這首歌有點在警示當父母的，隨著小孩子「生理」的成長，也要能隨之瞭解他們「心裡」的想法，並做適當的配合，否則悔之晚矣！
2015，Sara第二度參加CMT ( country Music Television ) Crossroad節目，和搖滾樂隊 REO Speedwagon共同演出，並演唱該樂團的招牌歌曲。由影音所見，Sara已明顯發福，跟之前的美麗身型相差頗大，她本人也承認她有飲食失調及「身體畸形恐懼症」，意下，此為非戰之罪。Sara的歌喉雖說不錯，但演唱以下這首《Take It on the Run》，台長認為她並未掌握到原唱「美聲」的韻味，詮釋得並不到位。
