Tanya Tucker剛出道時簽在哥倫比亞唱片公司旗下，製作人Billy Sherrill ( 其最著名的是亦為鄉村第一夫人Tammy Wynette及鄉村歌王George Jones的製作人 ) 原安排她唱《The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA》，她卻將機會還回給了Donna Fargo ，自己則是選擇曾在廣播節目中聽Bette Midler唱過的《Delta Down》。結果，《Delta Down》在1972闖進了排行榜第6名，也讓當時才13歲的Tanya Tucker一曲成名。而在次年，澳洲女歌手Helen Reddy翻唱她的版本，卻拿下了排行榜的冠軍。另，《The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA》也在1973替Donna Fargo贏得了一座「最佳鄉村女歌手」的葛萊美獎。這些超越《Delta Down》的成就，Tanya Tucker有為之感到懊悔嗎？她在1988告訴紐約的雜誌，若是以她現在的狀況回到當初唱這首歌，應該也會成為熱門曲 ( 意思也會像Helen Reddy奪得佳績 )。此兩首歌都為Billy Sherrill所製作，她很慶幸能擁有其中之一，要不是如此，她現在恐怕只是某個牛仔區的鄉村歌后或是其他的什麼 ( a rodeo queen or something )。






此曲為Tanya Tucker1988專輯《Love Me Like You Used To》中的第3首單曲，也是她在美國鄉村榜的第9首冠軍曲。以一般的廣告來說，代言的藝人、明星對該項產品應有相關的說服力。「假如感情來得太勉強，最好還是放手吧！」，以Tanya Tucker一長串的緋聞輝煌紀錄，應該沒什麼人會挑戰她的愛情觀吧！
