I was almost devoured by allergy this week. The skin all over my body gets more and more sensitive, and it was not until I have to wake up during night sound slumber to have hourly balmy application that I realized the intensity of the situation. Two dermatologists assured me that it was an allergy caused inside the body and could only be cured by taking medicine. One Chinese herb doctor assured me that it was because I did not get enough nutrition, so an allergy was caused easily. I think both proved to be right.
I began to recall my habit. I was a semi-vegetarian for the past year, for the reason that a nearby (so nearby that it snaps you like a mom’s kitchen!) vegetarian restaurant cooked delicious meals with reasonable charges. There I was subdued to vegetarian eating habit. I believe people get enough nutrition through only vegetables (and I still do, only it might differ from cases), and I believe my body enjoyed tasting vegetables as my brain enjoyed the ideas.
Actually my feeling of slightly uncomfortable itch can date back to this April, only the degree did not display to the extent where I think something is wrong. Until one fatal food (which I seriously suspect is a mango!) invade my stomach and as I reflect the whole period, all those seemingly unconscious (yet remains to be a quite intransigent memory after months!) scratchy gestures loom large. My immune system must be sending me messages then.
Recently people are talking about vegetarian are fashionable eating habits. As I go into the trendy movement so naturally, I begin to realize while my brain is quite a fashion seeker (though assuredly not with the attitude of “see, my brain has all these new stuffs!” like a showy little girl with her new apparel on), my body is an amiable partner. My tastes and preference of food are so easily shaped (by “ideology”—sorry, a word I refuse to use for…um, hours). Though I want to treat it nicely, treat it with the way it wants, the long-term subjugation (with mixtures of repressions I guess) of the brain finally makes it voiceless…
