身居要津者似乎都只知別人的錯與自己的使命。想做的事，就是自己的使命；困難與失敗都是別人造成的。自己的違背承諾或誓言，也是因為別人的錯，基於使命感只好義無反顧，甚至雖千萬人吾往矣。

The one I intended to put on blog yesterday was gone due to some glitch of internet connection.  However, there was a news event today which matched what I wished to say.  Why the political leaders could only blame someone else rather than bear the stress and take on the responsibility?

People says politics is just like performance.  Then I can't help asking the same question that Lt. Col. Frank Slade (in Hollywood moive, "Scent of a Woman") asked, "What kind of a show are you guys puttin' on here today?"

There are always issues that need to be attended to or dealed with, however, each politician or political party has his or its own agenda, priority and vision.  Most of things is not like choice between true and false or black and white.  The issue like nuclear or economic developement, it's the matter of judgement or choice, rather than right or wrong.  Nevertheless, it's much easier to gloss over one's failure or incapability and disguise that as consequence of someone's fault.

Supporting nuclear power, then accordingly, the country can develop the industry that demands high energy or electricity.  However, opposing nuclear, there will be good for different industry which is generally known as "green", such like sustainable energy development, the engineers will bear "energy saving" in mind when they build the houses, cars, production lines, ... even our interior designs.  Demark is an agricultural country generally, but it is also the biggest exporter of wind turbine (for power generator).  As to the Taiwan-Sino relations, one could not be careful enough to deal with since China has more than 1,600 missiles aiming at Taiwan.  When Mr. MA was interviewed by BBC HardTalk, and was asked about his pro-China stance, Mr. MA could not give any decent reply, but sullenly answered, Britian is also doing biz with China.  Well, then the host said, but China does not have missiles aiming at Britain.

Today, The mayor of Kaohsiung County Mr. Yang denounced DPP for it's process of primary saying that it was unfair and he was smired badly, therefore he could not take its result (he lost in primary) and after long consideration he declared his departure from the DPP.

I have no idea why Mr. Yang would have done this, since I think he is committing political suicide.  I do not really care about the dispute between he and Ms. Chen, KHH city mayor but the pattern of such behavior ---- It's someone else's fault so I had to react, I was compelled to react to it.

Mr. Yang, as a county mayor, a political leader, again made use of this "someone else's fault" to justify his deeds.  

All these years, I couldn't help thinking that I was too stupid to realize that what was taught in the school were only good for examination rather than principles of life.  Is that really too much to ask any leaders or managers to show some leadership bearing the responsibility, taking on the pressure and working out solution to the problems or issues?  If it's too much to ask of a person of superior status quo, then why were such things always being asked of low level employees or low ranking officials?

At times I even doubted that I might have reversed the cause and effect.  These people could climb high in the social hierarchy is because they knew to care their own agenda, to gloss over incapability to somebody else, to blame someone who cannot or would not like to fight back for ... I felt sad when knowing thse news stories, and sadder to know leadership has been misrepresented in our society, and the mass media are the accessories to compromise leadership.



馬哽咽痛批民進黨誤國

五都選舉戰況激烈，國民黨主席馬英九昨天痛批民進黨八年鎖國政策，造成台灣經濟衰退；提起高雄港排名大幅滑落，他還一度哽咽說：「我想到都要掉眼淚，什麼叫做誤國！」

馬英九總統昨主持國民黨臨全會、二中全會時，不僅化身為超級輔選員，強力促銷五都提名人，兩度致詞時更砲轟民進黨十餘分鐘，台下黨代表掌聲連連，榮譽黨主席吳伯雄形容：「又看到意氣風發的馬總統了！」

上午致詞時，馬英九打出政績牌，從推動反貪、拚經濟、政府再造、文教福利改革、台海和平繁榮、擴大國際參與等，說明政府過去兩年來的努力，希望人民持續在五都選舉支持執政黨，讓台灣向前行。

馬英九認為，兩岸經濟協議（ECFA）對執政黨五都選情有幫助，他更向民進黨喊話：「反對ECFA就是跟人民為敵！」他隨後火力全開，連珠砲地從核四停建、桃園與松山機場建設落後，痛批民進黨八年執政，讓台灣經濟日益衰弱，例如核四停建損失超過三千億元，「難道民進黨不用反省？」

馬英九還高分貝批評，那些在民進黨執政時做過行政院長、副院長、內政部長、主委的人，做許多錯誤決策、對國家造成許多危害，現在又跑出競選五都市長，不值得人民信任。

下午，馬英九主持二中全會時又連續質疑綠營的兩岸政策，從鎖國變成誤國，「什麼叫誤國？這就是誤國！」由於激情演出、哽咽連連，馬全場都操著沙啞聲音。

他說，二次政黨輪替以來，國民黨下決心與貪腐畫清界線，檢察總長黃世銘一連串掃除貪腐動作大快人心，但民進黨不敢用他，這就是兩黨的不同。書面講稿裡，馬英九更直接點名民進黨主席蔡英文曾在行政院帶頭反對發給老農津貼六千元，甚至不惜以「抗稅」相爭。

吳伯雄也說，民進黨幾位領導人現在拚命製造「新人形象」，企圖跟過去切割，但人民記憶不會這麼差，想切割都切不掉，「他們要為台灣當時向下沉淪負很大責任！」

緊盯電視看楊秋興…　蔡英文：放棄這種美好，將會是損失(2010/08/09 17:19)

民進黨籍高雄縣長楊秋興今（9）日下午正式宣布，將以無黨籍身份投入大高雄市長選戰，民進黨主席蔡英文稍後立即發表聲明強調，黨內初選的激烈競爭難免，但最終一定會有勝敗，對於楊秋興無法接受初選結果，選擇退黨參選，「背棄原先團結的承諾」，感到萬分遺憾。

蔡英文強調，一個政黨發展的過程，難免會面臨這樣的考驗；這樣的情形，「民進黨並不是沒有遭遇過，但也從來沒有被打倒過！」

蔡英文表示，「民進黨是一個有歷史的政黨，很多人來到這裡，當然也會有人離開。」她也說，「放棄這種美好，將會是損失。」

楊秋興今日下午表示，他這幾天經過審慎評估，認為黨中央當初的初選不公平，「對手用盡各種抹黑栽贓謠言的說法打及本人，黨中央一眛的偏袒，讓人無法信服，天人交戰之後，選擇承擔參選」。

民進黨中央黨部高層今日下午緊盯電視轉播，楊秋興宣布參選記者會結束後，隨即召開內部會議，討論因應方案。最後，蔡英文由副秘書長洪耀福、民調中心主任陳俊麟、發言人蔡其昌、林右昌等人陪同，召開回應記者會，而蔡英文也親自發布四點聲明。

第一、有關楊秋興同志決定退黨參選高雄市長一事，儘管我們已經窮盡一切努力來協調，但很可惜，最後結果並不如人意。一個政黨發展的過程，難免會面對這樣的考驗；這樣的情形，民進黨並不是沒有遭遇過，但也從來沒有被打倒過。

第二、我要向社會大眾說明，民進黨對於公職候選人的提名，有一套嚴謹的初選機制，這套機制經過大家廣泛的討論和參與，對於初選候選人而言，透明而公開；中央黨部在初選過程中，也絕無偏袒。黨內初選的激烈競爭難免，但最終一定會有勝敗。對於楊縣長無法接受初選結果，選擇退黨參選，背棄團結的承諾，我們感到萬分遺憾。而我們正式提名的候選人陳菊市長，她的施政成績已得到選民普遍的肯定，因此對年底大高雄的選情、以及未來由她所帶領的大高雄發展，我們都深具信心。

第三、我也要請各位支持者放心，民進黨是一個有歷史的政黨，很多人來到這裡，當然也會有人離開。今天，楊縣長選擇與我們分道揚鑣，我們雖然遺憾，但我們有更重要的任務，就是持續團結一致地來打好年底的選戰，為台灣的民主、為台灣的未來，打一場成功的選戰。

第四、我相信許多人和我一樣，覺得能夠成為民進黨的一員，和所有黨員、及更多來自社會各角落的支持者一起打拼，是一生中最有意義的事情。放棄這種美好，將會是損失。現在，也許路途會艱難一點，也許遺憾與不捨會多一點，但是不要猶豫，繼續往前走，未來的勝利還是會屬於我們。
