One shot for good morning,
Another for good night,
Stun her like thunder, strike her like riverrun,
Past her flash and blood.
Yet she dumbs.
Yet we numb.

By her side, we unite as a happily family .
Thus we, will be true, ere she slumbers,
To each, for the first and the last time.
We save words in front of her moist eyes
Against her fear and tears and whte hair.
How silently we pray
With contemporary faith spreading in disgrace.
