Queen of Coffee

I had a false image of coffee--
Some cups were bitter to the core,
Some tasted just like milk
Until the day I found Vickey.
She brought me a pot of coffee.
I hesitated for a while,
Then got ready for the penalty.
To my surprise,
Heavenly joy slipped over my tongue.
Bitter, sweet and sour magic
Played like pinball wizard.

At the night I saw the coffee again.
While I was about to drink,
Dream fled and my eyes started searching.
There was no coffee in my sight.
I fell into a shadow of doubt--
Would I have another chance
To drink the coffee once again?
