Highland Park 1998/2007 C#8017 60.6% Spanish Oak Cask – First Fill Butt

C: deep amber, brown

21 N: deep and rich sherry, chocolate, caramel, raisin, then a little smoke and heather

22 T: medium, round and rich, a little bitterness, dry, caramel, brown sugar, dark chocolate

22 F: medium, raisin, dark chocolate, caramel, sea wind, hint of sulphurs at the end

22 B: good balanced, a good fresh sherry bottle

 

Highland Park 1996/2007 C#1072 58.9% Spanish Oak Cask – Refill Butt

C: gold

20 N: some medicine powder from begin, malty, wet paper, mozzarella cheese w/ some plastics

21 T: medium, strong and good impact, a little dry, some orange peelings, cinnamons, bitterness, gun powder, baked wood

20 F: medium, liquorices, vanilla, white grape, toffee, coffee, hint of candy, some duck blood at the end

20 B: Balanced, not like a refill butt, a strange bottle

 

Highland Park 1991/2007 C#1554 57.1% American Oak Cask

C: yellow gold

23 N: very beautiful bourbon cask, honey, cotton candy, hazelnut, ice cream, a little smoky and backed wood

22 T: light->medium, a little spicy and bitterness, honey, lemon pie, marmalade

21 F: medium, some pepper, honey, vanilla, walnut, toffee, lemon peelings

22 B: good balanced both for N & T, very attractive from begin!

 

Highland Park 1976/2007 C#6119 50.4% American Oak Cask – Refill Hogshead

C: gold

22 N: sweet white fruits, peach peelings, pineapple, passion fruit, some ALC excited,  sea wind, thin wood cask, w/ some hint of mint

22 T: medium, full of tannins, dry, a little salty, thin wood cask, ginger, vanilla, lemon peelings, cinnamons, cream pie

23 F: long, peach, berries, deep fired sea food, vanilla, cream, more baked wood cask, a little sandal wood at the end. good extension.

22 B: good balanced both for N & T, more baked wood comes up at the end.

 

Highland Park 1973/2007 C#8354 44.5% American Oak Cask – Refill Hogshead

C: gold

24 N: old charming bourbon cask, baked tangerine, peach, honey apple, acid fruits, berries, grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit, then some heather, sea wind, cinnamons, cream, almonds, very complexes

23 T: medium -> full, a little dry, baked and thin wood cask, grapefruits, passion fruit, some peppers, lemon peelings w/ a little salty

22 F: long, creamy, orange, grapefruit, baked wood, peppers, orange, lemon peels, cocoa w/ some hint of coconut. Some baked fruits at the end

22 B: good balanced! Warm, light and elegant bourbon, though very enjoyable! Worth to take another shot!
