C: amber

23 N: very elegant and beautiful, very fruity, some fresh plum, cherry, berries, followed by some toffee, orange, then oak wood, sandal wood. Very good layers and complexes

22 T: full, round and smooth, cherry, orange juice, raspberry, some sandal wood, beautiful wood cask, tea

23 F: long, very long, fresh plum, tangerine, toffee, cherry w/ very beautiful and elegant wood cask, sandal wood

23 B: very good balanced both for N & T, warm and delights. Too luxury to get another dram. Very enjoyable!

 

Longmorn 1969/2008 50% G&M C#5295 for LMdW

C: amber

23 N: fresh plum, some chocolate, raisin, fruit cake, very gentle and warm, light sherry, beautiful wood cask, eucalyptus, pine

23 T: medium, round and smooth, sandal wood, prune, dry fruits, some orange, cherry, very fruity

23 F: long, very long, plum, cocoa, orange, tangerine, some oak wood at the end

23 B: very good balanced both for N & T, complexes and active

 

Longmorn 1969/2009 57.7% G&M C#5305 Refill Sherry Butt for TWE 10^th Ann.

C: deep amber, brown

23 N: fresh plum, deep sherry, dark chocolate, honey, tobacco, 一點醬菜味

23 T: medium -> full, good impact, dark chocolate, dry, grapefruit, plum w/ some mint

23 F: long, plum, a little match box, orange, good extension

22 B: good balanced, still variant

 

Highland Park 1986/2007 54.9% North of Scotland

C: yellow

22 N: White American oak? Vanilla, cream, cane sugar, followed by some white fruits, pear, apricot, then some nutmeg, clove, hint of mint and heather

21 T: medium, a little dry and spicy, vanilla, cream, ginger, lemon peels, prune, tangerine juice

22 F: medium -> long, vanilla, pears, cane sugar, ginger, tangerine juice, hint of coconut, a little smoky fruits at the end. Good extension and strength

22 B: good balanced, fresh and active. Not typical HP, but I would like to have another dram!

 

Lagavulin 1991/2008 OB 43% Double Matured lgv. 4/496

C: orange, gold

23 N: light, elegant, fresh sherry, some peat and heather, followed by some ripe fruits, orange, peach, then toffee, citrus, baked apple, and lightly smoky

22 T: medium, round and smooth, a little bitterness, some spices, smoky baked orange, orange peels, honey cake, citrus, chocolate

22 F: long, ripe orange w/ beautiful smoke, toffee, citrus, some bitterness of orange peels, some peat, chocolate remains in the middle of tongue, a little weak of body.

22 B: good balanced! More smoky and fresh fruits than previous versions. A wonderful house malt!!

 

Ardbeg 1975/2006 OB C#4699 B#25/121 40.9%

C: yellow gold

22 N: a little gun powder, some banana, polish oil, beautiful light peat, 征露丸

22 T: medium -> full, smooth and elegant, peaty, lemon pie w/ some sulphurs, bacon, a little salty

22 F: long, 征露丸, a little peaty, sulphurs, lemon peals, some white fruits, sea weed

22 B: good balanced, old Ardbeg, enjoyable!
