有兩種情況：其中一種，他們心胸狹隘，他們的批評是出自於無知。既然如此，你只好以慈悲心來對待他們。另一種，他們是為了要帶出你內在的優點，才批評你，他們使你明白自己所犯的錯。他們如此的慈悲，你因著他們批評而以進步。他們是很勇敢，勇於批評，所以你要感謝他們。如果他們的批評是出自於想讓你更進步的心念，你該感謝他們。而如果只是想打擊你，那就一笑置之，慈悲以對。不論是哪一種情況，你都不需要去擔心別人的批評。
而你也一樣，你應該要有能力給出批評與接受批評。這才是一位真正受過教育的人。一位有教養的人不會逃避或害怕別人的批評。
聖者卡必爾(Kabir)曾這樣說：『把那些批評你的人放在身邊，因為他們不需要肥皂及水就能讓你腦袋清楚。』所以讓一些會批評你的人留在身邊，那是好的。

Q: How do you face criticism? When someone criticizes you, I am shocked.
A: You know, welcome criticism. Why you are afraid of criticism? It’s good to have criticism. Criticism shows your strength. You know, if you want to know how much mature you are, it depends on when someone criticize you and how you take it. There can be many psycho fans who may not criticize at all, who may keep things in their hearts. But one who criticizes is very authentic, whatever in their heart they are pouring out.
There are 2 cases: one is either they are very narrow-minded then they criticize you out of their ignorance, in which case you have to be compassionated about them. Or they really want to bring something good in you, so when they criticize you, they are making you realize your mistake. So that they are so compassionated, you can improve by their criticism. They are very brave, they are taking bour step so thank them. If their criticism is coming from a space of improving you, you thank them. If it is coming from a space of putting you down, just laugh at them. Be compassionate to them. In neither case, you don’t have to worry about criticism.
Same with you also, you should also be strong enough to give criticism and take criticism. This shows real educated person. An educated person will not shy away from criticism nor will he be afraid of criticism.
There is one saying of Kabir, he said “Keep those who criticize you close by, they keep your mind clean without soap and water.” so always have some people who can criticize you somewhere around the corner with you. It is good.
