The violet loves a sunny bank,
The cowslip loves the lea,
The scarlet creeper loves the elm;
But I love thee.

The sunshine kisses mount and vale,
The stars, they kiss the sea,
The west winds kiss the clover bloom,
But I kiss-thee.

The oriole weds his mottled mate,
The lily’s bride O’the bee,
Heaven’s marriage ring is round the earth-
Shall I wed thee?

紫羅蘭戀著陽光照耀的河岸
野櫻花戀著遼闊的草原
腥紅的藤花戀著榆樹
可是我，我愛的是你！

陽光吻著山巔和深谷，
星星呢，他們吻著海，
西風吻著苜蓿
可是我，我吻著你！

黃鳥要和長著花斑的情侶成對
百合花是蜜蜂的新娘
彩虹－那天國的婚戒正圍繞著大地，
我，我怎能不和你配成雙？
