‧About Lodging Near the CY City Music Hall I Have Not be willing to advertise for any Firm....It is just want to offer some help for backpackers or some people who need these informations.
Of course, as a native person, I REALLY Don't know whether these hotels or inns comfortable or not as well as the experience of Bus-taking .
The Sequence that is Mentioned about is by the distance from the starting Point, The Cultural Affairs Bureau. Once a time, I remember some musicians asked to me about this due to Another schedule. ....Maybe Posting all I know onto the Internet is a correct desicion.

Bei-Men (Write as "北門"，North Gate of Ancient ChiaYi )
Station of the Alishan FROEST Railway. Its name is "玉山旅社" speaking Yu-Shan .(Additionally Remark , 12/16): Straightforward the Bei-men Station, this road is Guong-Her (共和)Road. Walking accross the Hinoki "Village" , there is also a small old hotel called "吉祥旅社"(literally "auspicious",Śrī in Indian language)
Can you accept to walk via more distance? Its Service operation is unknown so that Here I didn't think about it before.
Third, A Hotel is located at
somewhat distant from the Music Hall
and names "Maison de Chine" which is close to the downtown area of the Chiayi City (mainly Jhong- Shan Road ).
There is Raiway Park along this road. The Showtime Plaza (
Cinema Town) is inaugurated one(two?) years.
(Additionally Remark , 12/16): I really forgot this: In a distance from Maison de China, there is another Hotel called "Orange Hotel"

By the Way, there are old hotels inside downtown area. I can say but cannot list them all and take an accessment.
The old hotel which is most close to the Water Fountain is "珍珠" at the declined CY 1st and 2nd Central Market between Jhong-shan Road(大通り before) and Jhong-Jen Road(二通り).
"JEN JU Hotel" 's information is also abled to retreval on Internet.
By the Way (Again.), There exists Japanese tourists would
search for Arcade Game Machines which Distributed Oversea("海外版筐体") and will find some of them in amusement center.
However, DataCarddass series only lay at Department Stores or some toy shops.

You can discover that the Mart: Carrefour(Bei-Men Store) is very close to The Music Hall.
Walking through the Jhong-shang Road (Also the Provinical Highway #1 .) from the abovementioned China Youth Corps , you just see it.
Do you take the BUS?? Maybe it is very diffucault to non-natives.....
