Fragment: Scenes from a Restaurant

An old couple is sittitng close to me,
Eating, without a word.
It seems that they are alienated in the restaurant
Filled with energitic youngsters.

When have we ever belong to this changing world?
Have we ever bothered
By seeing an old man arguing with a young waitress
For what he is too old to understand.

Well, we felt bothered about ourselves decades after.

The couple finishes eating.
The old man is passing a tissue to his mate,
Still in silence.
I start keeping them in words.
When I take a look at their direction,
I find empty seat only.
