PUFF, The Magic Dragon

PUFF, the magic dragon lived by the sea
and frolicked in the autumn mist, in a land called Honah Lee

little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff
and brought him strings and sealing wax, and other fancy stuff, oh!

together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff’s gigantic tail
noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came
pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name, oh!

a dragon lives forever but not so little boy
painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys
one gray night it happened
Jackie Paper came no more
and Puff that mighty dragon he ceased his fearless roar

his head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane
without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave
so Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave, oh!

神奇龍 Puff

神奇龍Puff住在海邊, 在秋霧裡玩耍, 在一個叫做Honah Lee的地方

小小Jackie Paper喜愛調皮Puff, 帶來細繩, 封臘, 還有其他好玩的東西

在一起他們航過滔天巨浪, 小男孩在Puff超大的尾巴上瞭望
當他們來到時, 皇家的國王及王子向他們鞠躬
當Puff威吼他的名字, 海盜船降旗

龍可以長生不老, 但是小男孩並非如此
上色的翅膀和巨大的戒指換成了別的玩具
一個黯淡的夜裡, 小男孩不再出現, 偉大的龍Puff無懼的怒吼不再
Puff憂傷地低著頭, 綠色鱗片似雨般掉落
他不再去cherry lane 玩耍
少了他終生的朋友, Puff不再英勇無懼
因此偉大的龍憂憂地消失在洞穴中
