2010 Whiskylive Glenfiddich

1. Glenfiddich 8yo Straight Malt 1963復刻版 40% OB

C: yellow

20 N: Malty, straw, vanilla, some soy source, cream, earth, cereal

20 T: light, malty, tangerine peel, vanilla, creamy, some lime and straw then

19 F: short, oak wood, vanilla, cream, but feel weak and diverse quick at the end

19 B: somehow, rich from begin, but getting simple and straight, alike spyside?

European Oak 70%~80%

 

2. Glenfiddich Virgin American Oak 61% OB

C: yellow

20 N: vanilla, fresh cream w/ roughly flavors, then some melon peel, oak, milk candy

21 T: light, dry and spicy, very good impact, very sweet, white chocolate, liquorices, ginger

19 F: short, fresh cream, ginger, vanilla, simple, less variant at the end

19 B: somehow, too few flavors, even not suitable for drinking

 

3. Glenfiddich Virgin European Oak 61% OB

C: gold yellow

20 N: rich cream, vanilla, tangerine juice, oak wood cask

20 T: medium -> light, dry, god impact, oil, creamy, vanilla

19 F: short, vanilla, beautiful wood cask, more malty and cream than American oak

20 B: balanced, drinkable

 

4. Glenfiddich 14yo Rich Oak 48% OB

C: gold, amber

21 N: as described, rich cream and vanilla, beautiful oak wood, maple, sugar, ginger

21 T: medium, dry, vanilla, cream, liquorices, nuts

20 F: short, cream, cookie, ginger, tangerine juice

20 B: balanced both for N & T. But that my style

 

5. Glenfiddich 1975/2009 34yo OB C#22000 B#141/520 1st filled Spanish Oak

C: deep amber

23 N: deep, rich and elegant sherry, some plum, ripe fruits, honey apple, toffee, raisin, orange peel, chocolate, complexes and good layers

23 T: full, ripe fruit, orange, grapefruit, plum, big aroma, then some dry fruits, a little spices, cream and liquorices

22 F: long, plum, ripe apple, orange peel, brown sugar, a little sour and bitter at the end

22 B: good balanced both for N & T. good extension and impact, very fruity, a wonderful bottle. Another shot, please~
