Glenfiddich 15yo 40% OB Solera System

C: gold amber

22 N: toffee, ginger, cinnamons, orange, a little chocolate, plum, beautiful and elegant fruit

21 T: medium, toffee, plum, cinnamons, some green apple at the middle of tongue

20 F: medium, good extension, toffee, some orange and plum at the end

21 B: good balanced, no stress, easy to drink

 

Glenfiddich 15yo 51% OB 1L Distillery Edition

C: yellow gold

22 N: more fresh fruit, green apple prune, pear, walnut cake, then some vanilla, and some white flowers spread out

21 T: light -> medium, a little dry, ginger, apple, vanilla, very oil and round w/ a little bitterness at the end

21 F: long, green apple, prune, pear, quite juicy, some mushroom at the end

20 B: balanced, but a little feel like 12yo CS. A charming beautiful, “young” bottle

 

 

Glenfiddich 15yo 58.4% B# 32 OB Bot. in 2007

C: amber

23 N: Rich fruity, some tropical fruit, coconut, fresh plum, toffee, a little cinnamon, hint of clear sherry, then some cream, vanilla

21 T: medium, dry and spicy, good impact and intense, mre cream, vanilla, pear, some cocoa, bitter at the end

22 F: medium -> long, coconut, crème brûlée, some ginger, spectacular!

21 B: good balanced both for N& T, still variant, complexes

 

Glenfiddich 15yo 56.87% B# 230/6 OB Bot. in 2008

C: gold amber

22 N: Rich red fruit, honey apple, some grapes, toffee, then some fresh plum, cinnamon, still clear hint of sherry, some green apple pear at the end

21 T: medium -> full, a little dry and spicy, good impact & texture, toffee, honey, creamy, then full of vanilla. Round and richer than 2007

21 F: long, fresh, honey apple, some fresh prune,青箭口香糖? Hint of mint, a little caramel at the end

21 B: good balanced, especially for nosing, well matured, “young” texture, good potential for further maturation

 

Glenfiddich 15yo 58.6% C#3052 Rotn#3083 OB Refill Bourbon Solera Bot. in 2007

C: light yellow, water

21 N: fresh cream, vanilla, some lemon cake, then some white flowers, honey, a little nutmeg, 龍鬚糖, and some sea wind at the end

20 T: light -> medium, very good impact, dry and spicy, a little salty, pepper, cream, some lime and lemon cake

20 F: medium, good extension and texture, cream, vanilla, beautiful wood cask

20 B: balanced both for N&T, very good cask. Can be matured for more couples of year

 

Glenfiddich 15yo 60.9% Rotn#3212 OB Spanish Sherry Oak Solera Bot. in 2007

C: dark brown

22 N: plum, raisin, dark chocolate, sandal wood, followed by some蜜棗, caramel, plum, figs

21 T: medium,蜜棗,紅糖. Caramel, some dry fruit, raisin, plum, and chocolate at the end

21 F: medium, raisin, plum, chocolate, coffee bean, wood cask, good extension and texture

21 B: good balanced, Aberlour a’ bunadh. A young good sherry Bottle, still variant and active

 

Glenfiddich 15yo 60.5% Rotn#3284 OB New Wood Solera Bot. in 2007

C: light amber

23 N: very fruity, tropical fruit, orange, melon peel, a little vanilla, honey, followed by some beautiful wood cask, plum, 八仙果, complexes!

22 T: medium, dry and strong, some wood cask, sandal wood, raisin, a little orange peel, good impact

22 F: long, sandal wood, orange peel, raisin, good extension and intense, fresh prune, cherry

21 B: good balanced, well matured, complexes and active, eanjoyable!

 

PS. 1L DFS版頗令人驚艷,不論香氣或酒質都相當耐喝.

Distillery Edition 那兩支應該年輕好喝,值得期待

後面三支不同像木桶的原酒,refill bourbon相對顯的較弱,sherry cask中規中矩, 相對的new oak表現則是層次豐富而複雜,試今天最喜歡的ㄧ支酒. 老話題, 2007年Eric也辦過一次Glenfiddich,相信她也聽到大家的心聲了,不過有時酒廠的政策,不是我們在旁邊搖旗吶喊就會變的.或許換個角度想,有Eric在,這樣不也是相當棒嗎!? 謝謝Eric和Brian提供這麼難得的酒,難得大家討論的如此熱烈,很成功的ㄧ場品酒會!

Glenfiddich 12yo 40% Caoran Reserve OB

C: light amber

19 N: light flavors, green apple peel, water melon, pear, a little caramel, hint of some lightly peat? Followed by some cream powder, ginger and prune

19 T: light, a little spicy and bitter, ginger, thin wood cask, some pepper at the end

18 F: short, ginger w/ some prune and powder, not much variant and finished at the end

18 B: somehow, light texture.

PS.在家獨自品飲的ㄧ個sample,本以為又是一支紀念什麼的OB 12yo,看了Lazy的blog才知道原來有其意義及特殊性, peat不是憑空想像,而是這支酒真的在Islay cask finished過,只是感覺似乎不是那麼成功罷了. Glenfiddich這樣的實驗或許可以少一點,多出幾支年輕的CS倒是真的! 謝謝Lazy的sample!
