Tasting - 2009年四月達人學院品酒會

主題: 2009年四月達人學院品酒會--頂級蘭姆酒,白蘭地,威士忌大PK

品飲日期: 2009/4/24

以下記錄依品飲順序

1.Angostura 1919 Premium Rum 1980 8yo 40%

C: amber

21 N: raisin, melon peal, creamy, some toffee,佛手柑, followed by some plum, obviously banana oil, then some tobacco leaf, syrup at the end

20 T: medium, a little dry, bitter, dry fruits, raisin, some ALC, chocolate, sweet but w. some hint of medicine

20 F: medium, dry fruit, raisin, toffee, flat aroma and not too much variant, orange peal at the end

20 B: balanced, some dry, a little bitter and sweet, cocoa, still active and variant, better for nosing

唯一令我猶豫不決,最後確猜錯的ㄧ支酒,因為後段香氣實在太平了.如果有認真看老師寫的酒單,用消去法或許就會全猜對了吧,~

 

2.Ron Zacapa Sistem Solera 23yo 40%

8yo Rum

C: dark brown

24 N: rich and complexes, amazing aromas, rich dry fruits, melon peal,蜜棗, raisin, melon peal, pure honey, very good layers.

22 T: full, round and rich, rum, raisin, dark chocolate, cocoa, rich fruit, full creamy, even a little sticky..

23 F: long, very long, like a magic, tropical fruit, honey,蜜棗, chocolate

22 B: good balanced, both for nosing and tasting.

PS.喝第一口很喜歡,且從頭到尾都一直在玩味其香氣,但喝完第一杯時已經不想再喝了. 此時腦中只有一種想法,搞不懂史派洛船長能把整瓶拿起來直接灌,真是太猛了!

 

3.Ron Zacapa XO Solera Grand Special Reserve 40%

8~10yo Rum

C: deep amber, red gold

22 N: dry fruits, 蜜棗, raisin, some sugar cane, honey, toffee, figs, 雞蛋布丁

22 T: full, very sweet, honey, raisin, caramel, cherry candy, honey cake

21 F: medium, chocolate, dry fruit, and some grapefruit, more cocoa and chocolate at the end

21 B: good balanced, very young and active, well matured w/ high quality, but again, one dram is enough for me(too sweet).

PS.這支酒是當天覺得最好喝又有活力的Rum,比起前一支全完是香氣取勝,這支Rum相對的較易飲.

 

4.Blair Athol 12yo 43% OB F&F

C: red brown, amber

20 N: bad eggs from begin, not very pleasant for first sight, 接著有一些魷魚絲,漁網的味道(喝太多Rum,我味覺有問題嗎?) then some walnut, cream, blue cheese

21 T: light -> medium, a little chocolate, earthy, plum, very oil

20 F: medium, fired eggs, hazelnut, some orange, tangerine juice, raisin, good extension

21 B: good balanced, it takes some time to drink and enjoy its good part

PS.這味道應該不能猜錯了吧!

 

5.Caol Ila 8yo Unpeated OB 64.2% Bot. in 2008

C: light yellow

22 N: fresh green prune, a little banana, followed by some white flowers, elegant and beautiful, then some peach, more white fruit at the end

21 T: light, some sea wind, green apple peal, a little lime, some eggs. Good texture and impact.

21 F: medium, apricot, lime, vanilla, cream, good extension and intense

21 B: good balanced, very drinkable for this young bottle

PS.如果有人猜錯的話無言!

 

6.HINE 1982 Cognac Grand Champagne Early Landed 40%

C: red amber

21 N: raisin, prune, a little sour, toffee, crème brûlée, some thin wood cask, flat nosing

19 T: medium, a little dry, oil, a little sour, raisin, some wet paper and orange peal

20 F: medium, some thin wood cask, 蜜餞, melon peal, fruits, white chocolate at the end. Few complexes and variant

18 B: better for nosing, not very interested.

PS.早期在菸酒專還買的到的ㄧ支Cognac,看來還是老的Armagnaccheese比較合我口感

 

這次品飲讓我見識到真正頂級的蘭姆酒,一開始香氣的確容易令人和Cognac混淆,但我想重點是,今晚喝過頂級蘭姆酒之後,發現Zacapa酒廠對品質的堅持,不但讓我們認識到頂級蘭姆酒的製作工藝,也對蘭姆酒有了新的認識! 謝謝Steven舉辦這場別具意義的品酒會.

第一支的聞香真的太像白蘭地! 我也是這支猜錯.
如先前注意一下酒單應該就OK了.

是啊..怪我們不夠用功啦,不然一人可以一瓶黑樽回家了~~
不過也算沒替社團丟臉啦..哈~~
