My Dear Hsing Yi ,

Thank you very much for the sweet poems. They are beautiful.

I often think of you durring the day. Unfortunately I get so involved in my work I get home late at night and I am too tired to write to you. I think you ,ust not like me much anymore. I have not paid you much attention and written to you. Then when I turn on my computer you have written me a two poems and I believe you think of me at least a little.

At work we have a new girl we hired from college working with us. I told her about you and how we have been writing to each other since I was in college. Do you realize that was twenty years ago? That is a very long time.

I would like to send you a picture of me and my family but we have been having touble getting the scanner to work right. Pamela, my wife, knows more about computers than I do. I will ask Pamela if we can send you a picture of us.

The poem you sent me made me think about what kind of bird I would be if I could be a bird. I think I would like to be a Woodduck. Yes, they are small but very pretty. They can live in the water as well as on land. What I like the most is that they can fly. Have you ever thought about what kind of bird you would like to be?

Let me send this message off to you now. I do not want to make it too long for Paul to translate. Write back to me soon.
