12/22/2006, last work day before Xmas long weekend, several of us exchanged Xmas gifts.

Between friends at work, we set a Max dollar amount for the gift we will exchange but all of us exceeded it though...

C always enjoy the Xmas, she started maybe 1/2 month ago, the way she prepared the celebration just like how Chinese celebrated Chinese New Year when I was young, she started with cleaning (even took days off to do that) and planning menu of Xmas eve.

The most fun for her to do is SHOPPING all the gifts, I asked her if she spent one month pay for that? She paused and said yes.

she gave out many things and touched me, we loved them all and all of the gifts were from different stores, she gave J much more than J gave her but C was so content to see how happy J was when J opened all the beautiful packages, like she got the best gifts herself.

C told me she loved giving, I believe her.

If you have read book "Love language", then you will know one of the 5 languages is "gift".

I used to think Xmas was boring, a lot of work for me and the whole thing was just from commercial, but now I think it is a way to show your love and care.

Anyway, I guess it is a pleasure for anyone to open a gift that was specially picked and prepared for her, but of course you can do it anytime, not necessarily only at Xmas time, it is not the point of Xmas. Right?
