Out of the mist one night you came
Through the labyrinth of stars,
Across the distant mountain bars…
And in the gentle wind you breathe a name
That thrilled my inmost being like the same
Chord of vibrant sound that jars
A sensitive responding tone, nor mars
Its fall, clear ringing. It became
The voice that long in dreams I knew.
Love, let me see your face, your smile…
