“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.-MATTHEW 22:37-39
It is not enough merely to exist. It’s not enough to say, “I’m earning enough to live and to support my family. I do my work well. I’m a good father. I’m a good husband. I’m a good churchgoer.”
That’s all very well. But you must do something more. Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to make his own self more noble and to realize his own true worth.
You must give some time to your fellow man.Even if it’s a little thing, do something for those who have need of a man’s help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it. For remember, you don’t live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here, too.

盡心、盡性、盡意
你要盡心、盡性、盡意，愛主宰你的神。這是第一次也是最大的誠命，其次則與此相仿，你要愛你的鄰居，如同自己。－馬太福音22章37-39節
僅僅活著是不夠的。「我收入足以養家活口，工作也做得很好，我是一個好父親、好丈夫，我經常按時到教堂做禮拜。」你做到這樣還是不夠的。
做這一切都很好，但你必須再多做些別的。隨時隨地找些有益的事做。每個人必須用它自己的方法，使自己顯得更高貴，同時也認清自己的真正價值。
你必得分點時間來照顧你鄰近的人們，即使事情微不足道，對需要你幫助的人們仍須予以幫助。做一些雖無金錢報酬卻理所應為的事。要記住，你住的世界不只你一人，還有四海之內的兄弟們。
