I have never have meal in cafeteria because I don’t like it. Today before we went out, we have meal in IIT. It was not as bad as I thought; on the other hand, it was pretty good^^~
Ok, started out tour today. First, we went to Navy Pier, one of the famous sightseeing places. On the way to there, I could see how a center of a city looked like. Actually I enjoy the trip by train or bus. It was cold (to me) today. That’s why we didn’t walk beyond. There were some nice gift shops inside Navy Pier, girls like shopping, don’t they? We spent lots of time on shopping. However, it didn’t mean that we buy a lot.
There was a glasswork show inside. They were so unique and gorgeous. Last year, I got an opportunity to learn glasswork. I was so excited at that time. It was very difficult to make a product of glass. If you made one tiny mistake, you have to start over again. That’s why it is so expensive. I love glasswork more than other art show. Jut myself, my opinion.
Then, we finally went outside to take picture. The view there was great, but I’m so cold.We didn’t walk to the end of Navy Pier. If we walked there, the view would be much better. There were not many people, it was kind of quiet but nice. If in summer, it will be enjoyable to walk along the edge. Besides the cold, it was very nice!
We moved back to the center afterward. We went to Marshall Field, which is a well-known shopping plaza, and a bookstore. It was good to look around, but when I looked at my watch……..it has been very late~~~Then we moved on again quickly to Indian Town. It was so different from the city. It was a reflection of Chicago, mixing point. The house and building there look very old and poor (just my opinion). Looked like kind of poor area inside. Alike China Town has many Chinese, Indian Town has many Indiana; but we went into a Korean store, and bought some cheaper gifts.
It was time to go back, everyone was exhausted. When we were waiting for train. Something happened that out of my expectation, it started SNOWING!!! Oh, my god. I knew Chicago is cold, but I didn’t expect that it would snow. To me, snow just happens in very cold seasons. I was totally in cold and freezing.
Snow in March, my first experience.
