The liquid waste polluted the river, the air, and soil in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Actually, there’s no further process or action from government to do to against industrial sewage till now.
People gathered in Legislative Yuan and a presentation had been given for west coast organisms’ protection on 09 Oct 2012. Mr. Pan & Mr. Lin they who organized this action and both of them were stand for west coast environment protection more than 15 years. Dr. Liu concentrated the related law to protect the economic survivals from industrial waste in the west coast of Taoyuan.
Several dialogues in public on TV were highly expected to balance the conflict between the industrial zone development and local creature protection. The acidification caused the reef area reduced to less than 4KM in Taoyuan, Taiwan, and the residents emphasized that the importance for environmental protection. The living creature around this area used to breed their baby and all growth well, the status goes worst more than a decade. So far, there’s not yet to have any response or any activity from county government on this subject.

Taiwan were evaluated the most beautiful coast line and rich species island, Taoyuan county also owned multicultural artificial scenery indeed. In which solutions to maintain a complex and valuable vision on the coast, continuing activity will be look forward to proceed.
