The Dawn 晨曦

I would be ignorant as the dawn

我如晨曦一無所知

That has looked down

On that old queen measuring a town

看著審度著城市的女王

Wiht a pin of a brooch,

以一針胸針

Or ont the withered men that saw

看著那垂老男人

From their pedantic Babylon

 從迂腐巴比倫典籍

The careless planets in their courses,

看見軌道運行著無心的行星

The stars fade out where the moon comes,

星落月起

And took their tablets and did sums;

並拿起計算板運算著

I would be ignorant as the dawn

我如晨曦一無所知

That merely stood, rocking the glittering coach

只是佇立，亮晃晃著馬車隊

Above the cloudy shoulders of the horses

在馬群肩脊雲影之上

I would be- for no knowledge is worth a straw-

我如-因知識不如一芥草

Ignorant and wanton as the dawn.

晨曦放浪一無所知
