很少接觸伊斯蘭文化，最近卻因緣際會認識了Rumi,
13世紀的詩人、法官、神學家以及Sufi舞者。
大家對土耳其旋轉舞應該都不陌生，這原來是Sufi教派的一種冥想(Meditation,台灣翻作靜坐，但在這種情形下，顯然不太合適)
不同於靜坐，讓身體處於極度靜止的狀態；
Sufi的旋轉舞處於一種極動的冥想狀態，讓身心靈極度專注。

Rumi不但以跨神論的詩聞名，還有他的旋轉舞，早在西方文明大開之前，
他的詩便跨越了宗教與哲學，當然，因為部份的言論與其他宗教的信仰牴觸，這也讓他的作品沉睡了許久。

第一首認識的，是Rumi的<Only Breath>

Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu
Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion
or cultural system. I am not from the East
or the West, not out of the ocean or up
from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not
composed of elements at all. I do not exist,
am not an entity in this world or in the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve or any
origin story. My place is placeless, a trace
of the traceless. Neither body or soul.

I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,
first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being.
