Recently, I join Netflix and start to watch the movies that I was supposed to watch a million years ago.
First movie I watch was ”high fidelity”- it’s about a guy who gets dumped by his gf and he tries to review his top five break-ups. When he gets back to his gf, he meets a girl he is attracted to. Finally, he clear his mind and knows what he really wants.
a good quote from the movie: he says the new girl and him have cute problems, like the girl watches the movie he has always wanted to watch. However, he and his gf have real problems, like she wants to watch a movie but he doesn’t.
The new girl is just a fantasy but his gf is real.
yeah, fantasy is pretty, but when you can feel something REAL, it feels better.
Second movie I watched was ”Reality Bites”- Ena talked about it all the time when we were in oregon. It is about a girl who graduate with honor tries to fit in the reality- the working environment and everything. What she has is real, real friends and real talks, but it doesn’t help much in reality. In reality, people are fake and care only money. At last, she finds the touchstone who supports her emotionally.
a good quote from the movie: a couple of smokes, a cup of coffee, a good conversation, you and me and five bucks
Third movie was ”Trainspotting”- it’s about the low-life of a group of friends who are addicted to drugs in edinburg in Scottland. The main character tries to be clean but routines are boring for him. So, he takes another way to live the normal life.
It’s a must-see movie for many people. I am not crazy for it. It’s stylish, unexpected and disturbing in some scenes. The poster is very graphic and the movie title is well-done.
