The first time Dec 8, 2015
This is the first time I posted English on this blog. Why do I write
this article? It is because that next April I will go to Holland to learn how
to plant tulips. It is amazing, isn’t it?
I have never thought that I could have such a good opportunity to go to
a foreign country to learn something especially planting flowers. I am very
glad to have the chance to go to Holland to learn and to take the beautiful
flower pictures there. The purpose to the Holland is to learn how to plant the
tulips not to sightseeing. It is a challenge for me to speak English all the
time because I don't have any experience to plant the flowers. So it is hard
for me to learn the skills. I know maybe I will encounter a big problem because
I may misunderstand what they are talking about. I don't know if I can handle
it well. However, I will do my best to learn it well.
Tonight I am really happy to talk to my friend in English. I told him
that I need to practice speaking English more because I plan to go to Holland. I ask him to company
me to practice speaking English. To my surprise, he promised me to company me
and after that he spoke English with me all the evening. It is very nice of him
to help me out. I want to say ,'Thank you' to him.
Everybody says that my English must be very good because I am an English
teacher. Is it true? The answer is :No! But nobody believes me. People always
say that I am an English teacher, so it can not be true that my English is poor.
I have some reasons to prove this. First, I am a Chinese, not a a foreigner. Speaking
Chinese is reasonable. Second, I have never been to a foreign country before,
so I don't have many chances to speak English with foreigners. The most
important of all is that I teach junior high school students. I don't need to
use difficult English to teach the students. In one word, my English is not
good enough to speak fluently like foreigners.
There is an old saying:”Practice
makes perfect.”
I also believe that if there is
a will, there is a way. The saying means that if anyone was determined to get
something done, that person would always find a way to do it. Hence, I believe that I will be better if I
practice more from now on.
