It is unclear whether "Tubthumping" has some hidden political messages or is simply just about getting drunk and whatnot. Anyways, this song does always get connected to football culture, including football hooliganism, partly because Chumbawamba gave the right to Electronic Arts to feature "Tubthumping" in the game World Cup 98.
