To help boosting the sagging sales of the SUV market, HUMMER launched a smaller version of its military inspired vehicles, the HUMMER H3. Although the H3 is considerably smaller than its sibling, the H1 and H2, but it is still much larger than many full size SUVs on the road.

The look of the H3 is still pure HUMMER. H1 inspired, square and slab sided body combined with large 32" off road tires, this baby HUMMER looks all business. Power is from GM’s 3.5-liter Vortec 5-Cylinder engine mated to 4-speed automatic transmission. The output might look deficient on paper, but it is enough for the H3 to cruise leisurely in ultra legal speed all day long.

H3 has the best designed cabin in all HUMMER family. High quality material and ergonomically designed controls felt very upscale, almost Cadillac like. Road and wind noise is well damped. Ride is smooth and comfortable.

Considering its pedigree, design and content, it is very difficult to resist H3’s charm. The starting price of $29,500 further helped the cause. Looks like HUMMER has another home run in their hands.
