俚語精解
．as full as a tick
full是形容詞，表「吃飽的」，tick是「扁蝨」，as full as a tick 字意是「和扁蝨一樣撐」。牠捫吸血後身體會整個膨脹，因此引申為「吃得很飽」。同樣的說法也可講成：I'm full. 我飽了
= I'm stuffed. 我飽了（stuff vt. 使吃得過飽）
= I'm full up to here.（我吃的東西已經到這兒了。─比喻吃得很飽）
