Meeting之後收到同學的慰問
第一次覺得這個班還是有一點溫暖的
Dear Jill,
After our yesterday’s seminar I thought I might wish to extend a sincere support for your efforts to create a resource book for your colleagues. I think that some comments from the group were too harsh yesterday and I don’t agree with some of them. I think it’s not your fault that you chose a more formal format of presenting your book as your first readers apparently would not be your colleagues but University professors from your defense committee. I think you can still clarify with them if it is appropriate to swicth to a less formal style and to write a book as directly addressing it to the teachers.
Your project seems wonderfully well-organized and meaningful to me, so please do not take some rude comments too personally.
實在是讓我在感動中回覆啊
I really appreciate your support. Honestly, I was very upset after the meeting. I did not want to look at my paper next day or even think about my work. Your mail comforted me a lot last night, so I have some confidence to look at my work again today. I should have explain to everyone that this is my first draft. My strategy is to go through the heavy part of each chapter (build up the theoretical section) and then come back to add more activities as light part.
Compare the teaching environment and institution in Canada and Taiwan, they are two worlds. As a teacher from that education system and being re-educated in Canada, I want to have a good balance between interactive style and lectural style. I really want to contribute my colleagues and create something that can be used in that environment.
Again, thanks for your support. It is really a big big encouragement.
Also thanks for your resources, I will take a look.
有了關心與支持化為動力再努力!!
