I am so tired ....
Physically :
- take care of Erika is not easy, she is quite demanding recently. May be she doesn't feel that this apartment is her new home, and she has a little fear when she is alone (while I am cooking in the kitchen).
- When we go to shopping (for food or stuffs), we need to walk a lot, because we don't drive now, so, usually we find some walking distance stores to help out saving the money for taxi. Most of the time I will use the stroller, but sometimes, Erika wants me to hold her in my arms, that will be a big big burden for my back. URGH!
- cooking: the kitchen is so much different from Canada's. They use gas stove instead of electric ones. It's actually more effective, but I have to cook 'faster' and it uses shorter time to cook a meal. But I am still adjusting my speed, and there is no a/c in the kitchen, so, after cooking a meal, I already sweat a lot and feels like I am cooking in an oven.
INTERNET:
- The internet speed is so slow here, I really can't stand it. And the server always down. Especially when the weather is not so good (like now, with rain and thunderstorm).
- As I said before, I can't access to many sites such as facebook, wordpress, even gmails sometimes. Actually, I have more time to do other things now, because I have no patient to stay ONLINE, the internet is driving me crazy!
I am trying to explore more the malls in my area, and I am so surprise that there are some decent ones that are even better than Canada's , or Hong Kong's malls! They are so clean and fresh, with lots of nice brands. I am so happy that there is one Zara shop in one of the mall. Zara's boutique is one of my favorite where I can get long pants and nice tops, as well as some cute clothes and pants for Erika too. They do have Toy"r"us as well, but the size is so much smaller. They carry most of the brands that we see in Canada, but the price would be double the Canadian's. If you buy those LOCAL made ones, that will be cheaper. (However, they don't have THomas the Train!)
In Hong Kong, I found many products by THomas the Train, they are mainly made in Japan! WOw, we bought a floor mat for Erika , it's so cute and she loves it! There are so many Thomas the Train toys that we've never seen them in Canada. I don't know why Canada don't carry those, I am sure that the kids over there will love them. :)
Will share more about our life in ShenZhen later....
