Lochside 1991/2007 G&M 43% Connoisseurs Choice

C: light yellow

19 N: some flour, starch from begin, popcorn, a little vanilla, cream, grain, then some ginger, lemon peels

19 T: light, some thin wood, ginger, pepper, lime, fresh but few variant

18 F: short, some grains, fresh and light, a little vanilla, ginger, lemon peels, a little bitterness at the end

19 B: somehow, week and less variant, but not too rough to drink

Lochside 1981/2000 MMc 46% Refill Sherry C#MM9636

C: amber

21 N: some ripe fruits, honey, toffee, a little medicine powder, light sherry, brown sugar, some deep flavors with berries

21 T: medium, rounded, some dry fruits, toffee, cinnamons, a little spicy, still some medicine powder, and hint of sodium

21 F: medium, a little smoky, baked fruits, toffee, cinnamons, some orange peels at the end

20 B: balanced, but not my type

Lochside 1981/2000 19yo Cad 58% Sherry Wood 198Bts

C: yellow

22 N: some citrus, melon peels, prune, light and elegant sherry, fruity, fragrance and tenderness, then some beautiful wood cask, fresh cream

21 T: light -> medium, some citrus, green prune juice, still young and strong, good impact, a little bitterness, fresh grass, at the middle of tongue

23 F: long, fresh prune, prune vinegar, lemon pie, a little white chocolate, malty, X’mas cake, maple candy, still variant and good extension

21 B: good balanced both for N & T, a light but attractive bottle

Lochside 1981/2005 G&M 43% Rare Old

C: light amber

22 N: full of ripe fruits, sweet melon, some passion fruit, mango dry figs

20 T: light, vanilla, fresh cream, bread, a little ginger, smoky, baked fruits

22 F: medium, dry fruits, figs, melon, some citrus, good extension and layers, beautiful hint of smoke at the end

21 B: good balanced both for N & T. full aromas, golden barley? A little pity for the few variant of palate

Lochside 1966 G&M 43% Connoisseurs Choice 75cl

C: deep amber

23 N: old 18yo Macallan? Beautiful and elegant sherry, malty, grapefruit, some fresh orange, plum, coffee bean, a little caramel, still active

23 T: full, round and rich, ripe orange, chocolate, very oil, creamy

22 F: long, orange, plum, chocolate, rich aromas, complexity

22 B: good balanced both for N & T. this one reminds me the old 18yo Macallan. Very enjoyable!

Lochside 1966 21yo 40% Spymalt Whisky 75cl

C: deep amber

22 N: deep sherry, plum, cherry, orange peels, some polish, a little plastics

21 T: full, round and smooth, grapefruit, plum, orange peels, some caramel? Then some wood cask and peppers in the mouth

21 F: long, plum, grapefruit, some cocoa, powder, plastics, disintegrated at the end?

21 B: balanced, but pity, less variant at the end

Lochside 1963 42yo 45.2% Clan Danny Single Grain C#HH2243

C: amber

23 N: rich flavours, elegant sherry, coconut cream, wood cask, polish, plum, and raisin, orange, good layers

22 T: full, rich and round, plum, orange, some ripe fruits, a little cherry, sour? But good texture

23 F: long, very long, coconut cream, plum, ripe grapefruit, orange, chocolate, sandal wood, good extension at the end

22 B: good balanced both for N & T, somehow too old to bottle?

 

Lochside 1964/2006 47.7% Scott’s Selection Single Grain Oak wood cask

C: light amber

22 N: fruity, grains, some coconut, light sherry, prune, grapefruit, orange peels, complexes

21 T: full, round and smooth, elegant, rich, good texture, a little dry, grapefruit, chocolate, prune, some ginger

23 F: long, beautiful wood cask, old bourbon, coconut, malty, powder, cream, orange, prune peels, good extension. 尾韻有些許溶劑揮發的味道

22 B: good balanced, more impact at the end, more enjoyable for nosing, but not my type

 

Lochside 10yo 40% OB 75cl (Macnab Distiilery)

C: yellow

20 N: some malty, grapefruit peels, little ginger, powder, then some cream, cheese cake biscuit

20 T: light, smooth and elegant, ginger, biscuit, green grapefruit, peanuts?

20 F: short, ginger, white chocolate, baked cookie, a little walnut, plastics?

20 B: balanced, good texture, easy to drink
