吉利安的大冒險：愛爾蘭→加拿大→台灣 Flickr: gillianbj Facebook: Gillian Chang, 古巴相簿在此！ 現況：回到台灣，要去台北打拼啦！ 成就：2004去愛爾蘭工作，認識澳洲男友馬克杯，兩個月在愛住帳棚撘便車不到台幣兩萬，2005把他拐來台灣又拐去加拿大唸書，2006年暑假跟嬉痞種樹、藝廊賣畫，住帳棚半年，馬單飛歐洲，分離半年終於分手。2007畢業後搬到卡加利，馬決定飛來復合，2008決定到古巴冒險犯難，最後分飛，我一個人回到台灣囉！

這一切都要從四月中旬收到的一封電子郵件開始，一年多前曾合作過的翻譯公司發了封郵件，詢問有無意願到愛爾蘭工作，我以為是惡作劇，回信說我會考慮。沒想到這一切都是真的！經過一番波折，終於在五月十號步上中正機場，撘上了這趟命運之旅的飛機，與九位台灣翻譯人員一同，在都柏林郊區的科技公司進行機密文件翻譯工作。機密到連手機跟筆記型電腦都屬於違禁品，真是一段苦不堪言的日子，整個團隊也在內部與外部的影響下，在六月初解散。由於機票與住宿原本都由公司支付，我盡可能不想這麼快動用機票。積極在網路上找尋是否有其他愛爾蘭公司育雇用中文翻譯人員，竟被我在西岸最大都市Galway找到。經過一連串線上考試與證明，終於通過，並在六月中旬搬到Galway，開始工作。所有的台灣同事都在十號返國，我終於完全一個人了！心中充滿期待與緊張。

All those began from an e-mail sent by a translation agency I've cooperated few years ago. At the beginning I thought it's just a joke, didn't pay too much attention and only said I'll considerate. Never thought it's all for real!! After a series of meetings, finally I arrived CKS airport on 10th of May with 9 other Taiwanese translators, took the plane taking me to the detiny land Ireland, started confidential translation work in a Dublin tech company. It's so confediential that even cellphones and laptops are prohibited to bring in the office, such a hard time for us. Under the pressure from inside and outside, the whole team was forced to dismiss then go back to Taiwan. I was so devestated, not wanted to go back at all, searching for any agency hiring traditional Chinese translator then Boom! I found one in Galway. After a series screening tests, I finally went to Galway in the middle of June, all by myself. So exiting and nervous.
