People would work hard to make a better living and a better life to be a different person. Some people would not want a change because they think the situation they are in is good enough for them. But, things usually work backwards for people who do not want a change.
In the novel, Wuthering Height, one of the main characters Heathcliff, a dark-skinned founding child brought back from Liverpool by Mr. Earnshaw. Earnshaw’s children, Hindley and Catherine, detest the Heathcliff, but over time Heathcliff wins Catherine’s heart, to the resentment of Hindley. People look down on Heathcliff, used him like a servant. But when he returns back to Wuthering Heights, he has already having amassed significant wealth. Nobody would dare to tell him to clean or serve. Heathcliff has the motive of Catherine to make him to achieved being a wealthy man. He also has the determination to get so much in 3 years.

The film Life is Beautiful Guido has all he ever wanted, wife and son, a family. They thought they were going to be happy just like now, but the situation would not allow them. When the Second World War in its final days, Guido’s family were forced to work in the concentration camp. It is a place of horror and death, where healthy men and women work all day long melting down metal for weapons while those who are too old, too infirm, or too young to endure hard labor are sent to the showers. The situation changed Guido’s happily live that they had.
The film Life is Beautiful also makes a telling observation about the impermanence of shallow friendships when self-interest is involved. This is brought to the fore as we observe the changes in Guido’s relationship with Dr. Lessing, a German physician. Before Guido’s arrest, the two enjoy each other’s company, but their relative positions have changed radically by the time they next meet.
Life change all the time, you can not predict when it would happened. And nobody would have known the changeable life would actually bring people to the happiness or sadness.
