It is such a delight to have friends coming from afar. Friends visited Taiwan for two weeks. One afternoon, I took them for a walk around Lukang.
朋友們在台灣停留約兩周!
其中一位Traveler Foodie是第一次見面,但是同為部落客的我們,一聊起旅遊美食部落格,卻有相同的感受和諸多話題!
Traveler Foodie是Orlando的知名部落客,專門探訪美食!這一次他來到台灣,對美食有著高度的期待!他說,除了"蛇"這類料理不吃,其他的如內臟類或是臭豆腐類的食物,他都是可以嘗試的!他特別期待可以吃到豬腦,ㄟ......他開出的這道菜色,還真不是我們台灣人時常會吃的小吃呀!

這禮拜剛好回到彰化,而鹿港是個充滿古趣的鄉鎮,我想要把我從小逛到大的地方,介紹給朋友們!
Lukang is a traditional town. It has traditional snacks, a lot of temples, temple festivals and traditional crafts. Today was Mazu’s birthday. People gathered in front of Lukang's Mazu temple(天后宮) to watch festival activities. Fireworks and strings of firecrackers were set off everywhere. It was too noisy and smelled so bad. We just stayed for a while and then we walked to the other streets.
今天的氣象報導溫度是20度,一早太陽高掛,鹿港沒有吹的頭痛的海風,和曬到發燙的陽光,這是一個適合旅遊的23度!
而今天也是媽祖的生日,在天后宮前,擠滿朝聖的香客,以及抬轎儀式!漫天價響的煙火和鞭炮,有熱鬧但是也感到吵雜,現場充滿煙硝味,讓我們駐足停留一時半刻,就離開天后宮,往其他小巷裡鑽了!
There are a lot of stores and stalls on the streets. They sell snacks, cookies, toys, pottery products or traditional clothes and traditional shoes, for example: clogs. Traveler Foodie liked to take pictures of everything, especially the traditional buildings.
鹿港的大街小巷,有許多小店和攤販!販售的東西包羅萬象,有吃的有喝的有玩的,還有一些陶藝品和傳統服飾!如果喜歡木屐的朋友,在這裡也可以當場選購花色訂製!

It was really crowded on the street on Sunday afternoon. We left the crowded streets and went to Lukang's first market .
The first market is open from morning to afternoon. There are lots of popular dishes, for example: taro meat balls, spring rolls, oyster omelets and there are traditional snacks there, for example: pineapple shortcake, mung bean cake and peanut balls .
星期天下午的鹿港小鎮,古蹟多廟宇多而人也多!我們離開主要的觀光巷道,從我所熟悉的巷弄裡,走往鹿港第一市場!
第一市場對於鹿港人來說,是採買食材的早市,是下午點心的市場,還有晚上晚餐覓食的好地點!這裡充滿各種知名鹿港小吃,例如:芋丸.春捲.蚵仔煎.麵線糊..等!還有許多傳統小點心,如鳳梨酥.牛舌餅.綠豆糕和花生粩..等!

Friends were so full, so I picked one representative dish to eat.
中午朋友們吃得很飽,所以,他們只想要淺嘗鹿港風味小吃!因此,我挑選出我覺得最有特色的鹿港小吃!

People in Lukang love to drink balsam(bitter melon) lemon juice in summer.
Isn't it marvelous? Ha ha~
We think balsam(bitter melon) can make you feel comfortable in summer and it is so good for the skin and immune system. Lemon has lots of Vitamin C which improves our metabolism. Balsam lemon juice with honey gives it a sweet flavor. The juice is healthy and it tastes so fresh. The juice isn't weird so do not worry. Please enjoy this special juice in Lukang.
鹿港人愛喝苦瓜檸檬汁,我每次到第一市場也是必點一杯的隨手飲料!
不敢相信嗎?苦瓜加上檸檬???!!
苦瓜消暑解火,對於濕熱的台灣來說,無疑是一樣養顏美容的夏天蔬果!而檸檬富含維他命C,有利身體新陳代謝,這兩者調和,加上純天然的蜂蜜甜味,是一樣非常健康養生的果汁!
小萍子我很喜歡吃完一圈第一市場的小吃後,來杯苦瓜檸檬蜂蜜汁,清涼解渴呢!
↑Meat ball soup in Lukang
Meat ball soup is my favorite common dish inLukang. There is a lot of bamboo, mushrooms, meat balls, shrimp balls, squid and deep fried batter in the soup. It tastes crispy, a little sweet, a little salty and lots of flavor from the sea. Yummy~
Friends liked the meat ball soup in Lukang, especially the deep fried batter. Ha ~we have a lot in common.
鹿港龍山肉羹是我非常喜愛的傳統小吃!
肉羹湯頭是大骨湯底,湯裡頭是滿滿的爽脆竹筍絲,香菇,肉羹塊.蝦丸和魷魚,還有酥酥香香的肉炸!
鹹味中帶著蔬菜的甜,以及充滿大海的鮮味!
We ate meat ball soup and we drank balsam lemon juice. We couldn't eat any more food so we walked to Lung-Shan temple.
吃飽喝足,我們繼續往龍山寺的方向走!
這段路程有些距離,從天后宮往龍山寺是一直線的巷道,在隨意走走中,細細感受鹿港的小巷和廟宇之美!

Lung-Shan temple is one of the oldest temples in Taiwan. We can see that the architecuture is still well decorted in the traditional style. It is worth to checking it out.
鹿港有大大小小的寺廟,而龍山寺是我最喜歡的廟宇,我喜愛這裡的寧靜和莊嚴!
龍山寺是台灣古老的廟宇之一,在這裡可以看到許多精細的雕刻,在這裡可以感受歷史的洪流!正因為時間的消逝緩慢得讓我們無所覺,當我們驚覺時,它已流逝捉不回.....!所以,站在龍山寺,看著這百年的建築,總是心生活在當下,珍惜每一刻之感!
龍山市是個值得一遊的景點,若想要更進一步了解龍山寺的雕刻故事,每逢假日,現場有古蹟解說員為大家詳細訴說屬於龍山寺的故事!
