I have joined the meditation class here since the year of 2003.
Crossing my legs, lowering my head and straightening my back, taking a deep breath, I close my eyes and sit on the bench. At the beginning of the practice, my head spins around, sometimes shakes back and forth. My legs are very sour and hurt after sitting on them for ten minutes.
Of course, my mind also works hard. What would happen, I didn’t do it? Have I forgotten to turn off the stove? Why didn’t J.F. call me?… The waves of the ocean pushing on the shore, bats flying in and out of my mind.
I still sit on the bench here and repeat counting one to ten as the master said. I try to throw all those wondering thoughts out. I keep counting the numbers and sitting to find peace of mind. Never be interrupted until the Qing rings. It’s like the angel’s call. Putting down the legs, releasing the pain, After warming my palms,I massage my face, my arms, my legs a little while. Then it takes ten minutes for walking meditation. From the beginning, I walk as slow as a crab, just following the practioners’steps. And then, I move and move faster, not running. In front of the waves crashing down me until a wooden clapping sound”B”to my ears, then everybody stops immediately.
Now, sitting for almost thirty minutes, I feel comfortable. The head won’t shake any more. Practicing day by day, I hope my body and my mind under any circumstances are free someday.
