After more than two decades, the walk-through aquarium in the Club Regent Casino Complex disappeared in 2017 when the entire facility was renovated. Since then, the fish have lived in the casino’s basement.

A Winnipeg woman diagnosed with terminal cancer is using her final months to make the Christmas season brighter for needy families in her community.
Told she has nine months to a year to live, Jaime Webster, 41, decided to stop chemotherapy and radiation because she didn't want to spend her final days in a hospital unable to visit with her husband and two sons because of the pandemic.
Doug Speirs has the story behind one of Webster’s bucket list wishes:

On Friday, Gov.-Gen. Julie Payette announced 114 new appointments to the Order of Canada, who will join nearly 7,000 Canadians from all walks of life who have received the award.
The appointment is selected by the Governor General after a recommendation from the Order of Canada advisory council, and is open to anyone, regardless of occupation, who has enriched the lives of others in their community.
