Being gay has got nothing to do with being "inborn" or biological. Up til to date, there are no single scientific explanation for this. And so what if it is inborn? Does it give us all the reasons and rights to be gay just by the virtue of that? It certainly does not.
We do not ask the heterosexual majority to understand what it meant to be gay and live gay, simply because they can never be able to comprehend this. Instead, we merely asked to be acknowledged that we exist and that we are no lesser a human being worthy to be respected and having the right to love and be loved like any men or women in this world.
Does it hurt you if I loved another woman? How does it hurt you when I kissed another woman in the public? Why does it hurt you if we gathered to spread our message of love and acceptance? Why does it hurt you at all?
Can you tell what is right or wrong? By whose standard are those? You tell us of God, but who are you to speak FOR God? You simply did it out of fear and convenience. Because you could not comprehend. How could you?
How dare you say that this is simply a matter of choice and us seeking medical help?! Do you know how painful it is living in denial? The excruciating pain pretending to be heterosexual and living a lie. By WHICH medical help will that go away? Unless you kill a part of us.
You can never influence anyone who is not gay to be gay, just like if you are truly heterosexual you would probably never be able to sustain a relationship with people of the same gender. Unless you are bisexual. That’s a whole new ball game. Nonetheless, no one can be influenced if they are not. Period.
Don’t tell us to keep our lives away from the public, don’t tell us you didn’t want to see us here. We are here. We exist regardless of your fears or ignorance. We are not asking for any special treatment. We are here to take back our rights.
