今天，想靜靜地分享同一首歌Both Sides Now。同樣的歌手，在1970年代，以及2000年歷經人生起落波折後，再度吟唱，呈現出迥然不同的韻味。這位歌手-Joni Mitchell的歌聲，不知為何，就是會深入到人的心坎裡。

1970年-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcrEqIpi6sg&feature=related，簡單清純的unplugged歌聲，感動了許多當時的男男女女。

到了2000年，同樣的歌卻變成了充滿感傷的歌聲，這首歌也是電影Love Actually裡，非常重要的劇情引索元素，在劇中，原本認為自己沒有情緒起伏而需要情緒教育的Emma Thompson，在溫習了Joni Mitchell的歌聲之後，發現自己原來還是有喜怒哀樂。而被打開的情緒之門，卻在此時結結實實的被先生打了一巴掌。先生送了她Joni Mitchell的新專輯當聖誕禮物，慶祝她情緒教育的成功，卻不知，他的所作所為，才是讓Emma Thompson情緒失控的真正因素。這張Album，象徵著Emma Thompson的新的樣貌，關上已久的心扉，由著Joni的歌聲插上了開鎖的鑰匙，諷刺的是，就是來自先生的不忠，才是讓她情緒宣洩的最後芒草。
電影裡，當太太明瞭先生對她不忠後，又聽到Joni Mitchell的歌詞裡提到’I really don’t know love’，明明是傷心欲絕，卻要控制自己的情緒，不讓哭聲傳到客廳裡，無奈卻又必須如此不可之時，此時，歌聲替她訴說了一切-從「施」與「受」兩面來端量「愛」，到底，這愛是錯誤的？還是她的一廂情願？多年來為家庭的付出，難道只是空中樓閣，水中的幻影？

在歌詞裡，Joni用了「雲」的意象來代表她對愛的渴求，愛是什麼？是神話？還是雲裡看花？
也許，我不清楚為什麼Joni如此悲觀的原因，但她勇敢了檢視自己對生命的失落，一首歌有著跨越三十年的演繹，為著這願意再度面對的勇氣，一切就值得好好聆聽這首Both Sides now.
