Some young children spend a great amount of their time practicing sports. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Admittedly, doing some sports is good for children’s health. Proper physical exercises can develop children’s muscles, balance their bodies, and increase their strength. However, if children spend too much time on sports, it would produce some disadvantages. For example, children may be not concentrated on their assignments easily, or they probably get some hurts when they do exercises inappropriately.

On one hand, doing some exercises everyday is good for children. Children need physical activities to develop every part of their bodies. By playing balls, they can develop their muscles when they jump, run, and throw balls. They also can do some exercises to help them balance their bodies. If children keep a good exercising habit, their strength will increase as well.

On the other hand, if children spend too much time on sports, parents will detect their children can not concentrate on their home works. Children will feel asleep easily and have no energy after a series of exercises. In addition, inappropriate physical exercise may cause some harms to children. When children practice sports using wrong ways, they would hurt themselves easily.

In conclusion, exercising has its own advantages and disadvantages. The most important thing is adults should teach their children how to play sports in safe ways, and they must spend proper time on it. Therefore, children will grow up more happily and more healthily.
