I'vealways used the menu which hang outside your doorknob
toorder breakfast when on business trips. (原文為第一人稱)
我去旅行時都會用客房服務點早餐
Iwas recently staying at a well known hotel and I ordered
roomservice for the next day on the flyer-like thing
thatyou stick outside your door.
最近我住進一家知名飯店我也點用了客房服務
然後把寫了我的order的紙條放在門外
Onthis order form, one writes her name, how many persons will
beeating,your room number, time of delivery etc.
這張紙條上會寫住在房間裡面的人的名字點用幾人份的餐點
房間號碼和需要送達的時間等等
Ihung it on the outside of my door for collection - it is a mistake !
Ihad given someone all the ammunition that he would need.
我把這紙條放在門外讓收集的人來收而這完全是個錯誤~!!
我就這樣讓『有需要的人』輕易得到他所有需要的資訊
Thatsomeone went to my door-tag.... Got my name and room
number....andthen
toldthe front desk that he was my husband (remember my tag showed
1femalename) and that he needed a new key.
這個心懷不軌的人拿到了我的名字和房間號碼然後去跟櫃檯說他是我老公
(紙條上會寫『一個』『女生』的名字)而他需要一把新鑰匙
Theclerk ... WITHOUT ASKING FOR ID OR CALLING MY ROOM ... GAVE HIM
MYROOMKEY!
結果那個櫃檯人員.......連問他的身分證號碼或是
打電話跟我確認都沒有就給了他我房間的鑰匙~!!!
At2 a.m. I was awakened by my door opening
(luckilyI had putthe security bar across)
witha man's hand trying to figure out how to get the bar undone.
凌晨兩點我被開門的聲音驚醒很幸運的 我除了鎖門外還有把門鏈掛上
(讓門即使鎖可以開也只能開一條縫的鍊子)
而我看見一隻男人的手在嚐試著把那個門鏈拿下來
Istarted yelling at him and told him that
Iwas on the phone with the police.
Heshut the door and left.
我開始大叫告訴那個人我正在通知警察那個人關上門 離開了
Icalled down to the lobby and spoke with the Front Desk -
Iwanted to alert Security about the incident.
Thehotel staff person said ... and I quote,
"oops,sorry about that"then hung up.
我打電話去給大廳的櫃檯
告訴他們這事想要通知安全部門注意這個意外櫃檯人員說........『哦，那真是抱歉』就掛了電話
Well,let's just say that I was both terrified and angry the rest of the night. >Next morning, I spoke with a Hotel Manager whose eyes
almostpopped out of his head when he learned that his clerk had
givenan unidentified stranger a key to my room.
之後的時間我是在又驚又怒中度過的隔天早上
我告訴那個驚訝的眼睛要掉出來的飯店經理他的手下就這樣輕易的把我的房間鑰匙給了一個連身分都沒有先經過確認的陌生人
AmI glad that I am typing this to all of you with my 2 year old kid
onmy lap.
Idon't want to think of what might have happened if the safety
chain/barhad not been secured.
而我現在很慶幸我還能安好的打這篇文章告訴你們這些事我不想去想像
要是那一晚我沒有把門鏈掛上的後果
