you came one year later than me,
you left one year earlier than me.

how much i hope i could’ve met you in between,
where were we and what were we doing then?
if i were where i am now,
maybe i’d had some more chance to let it happen.

would i just pass you by?
would i recognize your face?
furthermore,
i wish i could have even known you much earlier,
back to when we were both in the southern border under the sun.

those two years didn’t make me able to take care of you.
