"Here Comes Your Man" is a 1989 song by the American rock band Pixies, written by the frontman Black Francis when he was age 14 or 15. While everyone has the same conception that the song is about romance, it is actually about someone dying in the California Earthquake.
The song earned much attention when it appeared in the 2009 romantic comedy film (500) Days of Summer. The character played by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt drunkenly performed the song in a karaoke bar scene. Canadian singer/songwriter Meaghan Smith also contributed a sugary cover of "Here Comes Your Man" to the soundtrack of the movie.
