It is more than a decade ago, but Billie Joe Armstrong still looks the same.
"Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" is an uncommon acoustic Green Day song released in 1997. The song contains sentimental lyrics which unfolds the sadness of parting, and that is why it was frequently used at high school graduations (at least before the ultimate graduation song by Vitamin C came out). But in fact, the song is about Armstrong breaking up with a girl who was moving overseas and he wrote the song as kind of a bon voyage.
The music video features the baby face rocker singing and playing an acoustic guitar with Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool making cameo appearances. Note that the music video cuts off the part where Armstrong messed up the chord twice at the beginning of the album version.
At the 62nd Emmy Awards, Jimmy Fallon did a parody of the song, saying how he did not understand the ending of the show Lost but he tried.
