NB Ridaz 是一個hip-hop 團體，由MC Magic創立，發行了2張專輯後，沒有繼續出專輯，團員各自發展個人的事業，其中創團的MC Magic發行了2張個人專輯Magic City(2006.08.30)、Don’t Worry(2007.02.06)，2006年團員又聚集，加入新成員，改名New Ridaz後再度發行新專輯。

NB Ridaz時期發行2張專輯，改名變Nre Ridaz後發行一張專輯，他們的風格是屬於hip-hop +Rap ，或是Pop Rap。
New Ridaz是由饒舌歌手Doz與Zig Zag以及女主唱Angelina所組成的拉丁饒舌說唱三人組，2006年發行第一張同名專輯與單曲「Special Girl」，以輕鬆寫意旋律以及情愛歌詞而獲得主流市場注意，事實上，他們早已在拉丁饒舌樂界累積了不少人氣。
不同於一般拉丁或墨西哥饒舌樂手，通常來自聖地牙哥與LA下西區(lower Eastside)，其中兩位男性團員Doz與Zig Zag曾是來自亞歷桑納州(Arizona)的饒舌團體NB Ridaz(前身為the Nastyboy Klick)之成員，與許多饒舌團體的故事一樣，Doz與Zag在高中時即為互相切磋饒舌技巧的舊識，隨後加入了第三位較年長的團員兼製作人MC Magic而組成了the NastyBoy Klick，並以此團體名義發行了兩張專輯，其中97年首張專輯「the first chaper」當中的「Down for Yours」一曲找來了變音器(Talkbox vocoder)教父Roger Troutman合作而打入當年billboard單曲榜前10名。2000年左右NBK更名為NB Ridaz，融合西岸變音器旋律與拉丁節奏吉他與西語情話饒舌的風格不變，並在創作技巧上更加成熟，一系列的單曲如「So Fly」、「Pretty Girl」都有不錯的銷售成績，因而也凝聚了一群拉丁族裔內的在地支持者。
然而發行了兩張專輯後，2005年許，身兼團體要職的MC Magic決定單飛發展個人生涯，也使得NB Ridaz宣告解散。於是他們決定與同公司(Upstairs Records)長期有合作關係的女歌手Angelina，重新組成New Ridaz，Angelina自1996年起發行過四張拉丁舞曲(dance-pop music)專輯，並曾獲得拉丁葛來美提名。仔細觀察New Ridaz，不但是NB Ridaz的延伸，更是NB Ridaz的進化，這裡所謂的進化是不單是曲風或製作層面，更是指市場能見度。
其實他們的成功方程式，並不令人感到陌生，女性團員的加入的確是令其境界昇華的催化劑。如同先前Black Eyed Peas模式一般，身兼外貌實力唱功的Angelina，的確是讓New Ridaz的音樂増色不少，甜美的女聲情歌嗓音配合饒舌應答，使他們成功的突破拉丁饒舌聽眾的藩籬，而擴大了原本的樂迷基礎，也因此也讓他們首推處女作就獲得告示牌獨立發行專輯排行榜第一名的成績。
情歌人人會唱，國語歌壇更是由相當大比例的情歌所組成。愛情這個話題絕對是陳腔濫調，所以要如何唱出新意，就需要創作者相當大的創意與巧思，New Ridaz這組團體吸引人之處，首先是一脈相承了自Marvin Gaye與Isley Brothers以來的靈魂樂露骨歌詞傳統，大膽卻不下流的情慾訴求。另外再加上西岸的變聲器音色與些許取樣來自old school歌詞或音色，佐以拉丁吉他甚至是不甚標準的西班牙腔饒舌卻也巧妙的召喚了聆聽者幾分的異國想像。無論是主打單曲「Special Girl」、「IOU」或是專輯內其他作品，皆能令人朗朗上口，非常容易的能讓人進入其中的故事脈络，這絕對不是一張嚴肅作品，但卻是一張定位明確的精心製作，如果你想聽聽不同風味的饒舌情歌，New Ridaz絕對會是一個優質的另類選擇。
