在上文化與英語教學的課時，同學介紹了一首歌，是一個樂團主唱寫給他小孩的。裡面有提到一個爸爸對一個小孩的期待，歌詞如下：

嬰孩初降人世帶給父母親友的喜樂和期待，總是可以圍繞著嬰兒床大人們臉上的表情看到。這首歌詞裡的主唱對小孩的希望是 " he is not like me"。同學說這是主唱青少年時期過的太壓抑而變的很叛逆，所以希望他小孩不要步上他後塵。
聽這首歌時，我想的是自己身上背負的父母的期待。其實我一直很希望早點變成一個獨立的人。我對爸媽替我決定好的事情總會有種恐懼感，而當我想要有自己想法的時候，總是覺得那會被否定而不敢明講。妥協是比較安全的做法，所以在開始思考以前，我的雙腳會帶著疑惑往那個別人指去的方向走。我不知道怎樣才能讓他們安心讓我決定自己的事情，怎樣才不算忤逆。也許這就是文化，像蜘蛛絲一樣纏繞著我的思考模式。
如果是我，我會希望自己的小孩快樂。就這樣。如果要做媽媽，或許得明白小孩離開了自己身體就是另外一個生命了，我只要他需要我時，我在，應該就好了吧。愛一個人而不對他有所期待是很難的。但是父母和子女之間應該是支持大過於束縛。
在親子關係方面，我還有很多地方要努力。囧
