聽英文歌是一種很好的學英文的方式，只不過先學會的可能是淫聲浪語而已，呵呵。）
How to spell a difficult English word correctly without using a dictionary? Well, I
have a solution – sort of.
Somehow people around me assume that my English has been very good ever since I was little. Well, my English is NOT that good! One day, a friend called to
ask what is the English word for‘保證’. I immediately thought of the word
‘guarantee’ but unfortunately, I forgot how to spell it. I didn’t keep a
Chinese/English dictionary handy then. As I quickly searched for all the
resources I had in my head, I told the friend that I would call him back within a
couple of minutes.
My brain was blank; the only voice lingering（迴盪） in my room was from the
radio. An ICRT DJ was repeating their phone number again and again,
encouraging listeners to call in and make requests.（點歌） On pins and
needles（坐立難安的情況下）, I dialed the number during a song, just to make
sure that I wouldn’t be put on air. I managed myself to ask the embarrassing
question.
“NEVER, EVER DO THIS AGAIN!!” the DJ stressed in a harsh（苛責的）
voice after he gave me the answer.
That was the most awkward（尷尬的） moment in my entire English learning
process.
這是幾年前，我自己的親身經驗，
就算戴三層瞳孔放大片，也遮掩不了台長天生白目的光芒！
當 ICRT 的 DJ真的很辛苦，不時要被「以認真學好英文為名，但實際上進行騷擾」的聽眾所折磨。
有另一次，我聽林哲修（Joseph Lin）的時段，
連續好幾個學生似的聽眾打電話進來，結結巴巴，說不清楚自己撥電話的目的
既不是要點歌，以他們的英文程度也無法和主持人互動玩遊戲
不久 Joseph 發現事有奚喬，於是反問：
「該不會是英文老師要你們打電話進來練英文吧？」
聽眾沒有否認
這時候連一向好脾氣的 Joseph也忍不住抱怨了一句：
「Please don’t abuse the DJ, OK?」
我猜那位英文老師只是想多提供一點學習英文的管道
畢竟在台灣學英文，最缺的就是聽、說的環境，只是他沒有考慮到這樣做會造成主持人和收聽大眾的不快
當然啦，比起把教室後段改成 café，賣咖啡給小學生喝的老師
這位英文老師至少有把教學創意用在正確的地方！！
