bury one’s head in the sand like an ostrich
bury 作動詞，表「埋藏」。ostrich 是「鴕鳥」，這個俚語字面上的意思就是「像隻鴕鳥似的把頭埋在地裡面」。一般認為鴕鳥遇到危機時，會把頭埋到土裡，以為這樣敵人就看不到自己。因此，這個俚語就引伸指某人「逃避現實」。
