See No Evil──第七屆法國電影節（24/5 - 3/6）

那天收到電影院寄來的信，是兩張法國電影節的戲票。什么時候參加的競賽，我都忘了。反正有時無聊，會到電影院網站參加簡單無趣的競賽。

近幾年來，已經對城中類似的影展提不起興趣。尤其是多年持續進行的法國電影節，片單不是舊片，就是題材老套的片子。明明法國每年盛產好電影多部，可是不知是選片的人不懂看電影，還是沒預算，都不會來到我國的電影院。

再者，本著照顧國人道德健康的苦心，上映的電影都會經過「現場人工刪剪」。你以為是一般的刪剪或國外常用的噴霧或打格子處理？錯了，名符其實，是播映時工作人員同步在菲林上拿張紙來遮遮掩掩。每出現裸露或「敏感」鏡頭，熒幕上就有一半或三分之一的畫面變黑，嚴重破壞美感，同時干擾觀眾。更離譜的，是連字母出現粗口都要遮。

忘了是哪部影片，男女主角在床上歡愛的場面被遮掩，結果裸身男子忽然起身走向浴室，工作人員慌亂之下不知要遮哪一邊，非常狼狽。有的則更離譜，偷懶之下干脆遮蓋整個畫面，無視于電影院中的觀眾在起哄抗議。

可是，遮是遮了，一兩分鐘內熒幕一片黑漆漆，觀眾卻清楚聽見男女主角的淫聲蕩漾。眼睛雖然看不見，但此刻腦海中浮現畫面，想必比電影還要精彩。

實在受不了這種侮辱藝術的拙劣作法，因而逐漸失去捧場的熱誠。反正這年頭要看歐洲電影，并不需要等待這類有欠誠意的電影節。

因為這兩張戲票，便到電影院網站瀏覽，意外看見Michel Gondry的The Science of Sleep也出現在片單上。雖然據說影片評價一般，但Gondry在Eternal Sunshiine of the Spotless Mind里給我們的感動跟驚喜，此刻仍歷歷在目。

我只希望，The Science of Sleep沒有什么被我國電檢局認為「敏感」的鏡頭才好。

haha.. i watched already lah! hehe...
love it! hmm.. no sex scenes but sex fantasy and nudity lah.
dont wanna compare between two films but this one is real good!
Gael speaks english and only a few spanish lines and broken french.
i especially like charlotte. saw her in a few french movies and of coz Inarritu`s 21grams. i find her vy attractive! dont know why, may be becoz her profile... her english is not bad.
when till u watch it then we can share more!!

this year film fest selection is quite good. at least all new films. I just watched My best friend 2 days ago. Not too bad. Priceless is so so but worth to see Tatou.

這兩部我應該都會看。似乎都是為了演員，前者是丹尼爾奧圖，后者是Tatou。

没有Charlie Kaufman的妙笔，The Science of Sleep暴露了MTV导演的弱点----叙事薄弱。不过在喜爱的对象面前的自卑自艾自怨小男人心态，我倒是感同身受。

之前也聽說了如此評語
甚至也看過有人針對eternal sunshine討論影片的成就該歸功于kaufman或gondry
也許這一次看了就自有分曉

nowadays daniel auteuil`s acting is ok but not as stunning as before... hmm... kinda boring sometime to see him (didnt stand out in `the valet` though its just a supporting role). should reall go n see dany boon. he is real good!
about tatou in priceless, she is not holding the young cute harmless role anymore. oops.. say too much.. watch and u will see lah. i love her this way! how can we not adore her?

Well as far as I know he was absolutely brilliant in Hidden. As for Tatou, I`ve heard a lot of bad reviews about Priceless so far.

Perhaps the film is rather new. Though the overall theme is suitable to promote Paris`s Tourism, howewer some of the shorts were really dull and disappointing, especially Christopher Doyle`s work. I like the one by Alexander Payne most, delicately captured the essence of the film`s title.

ai... I agree with you about Doyle`s. guess he is only good with photography? oh, but his short appearance in Tian Mi Mi wasn`t bad.

i have to say some of the segments touches my heart, like Ana in &quotLoin du 16ème&quot (as babysitter),the happy clown family, Margo Martindale as the american tourist, a french learner who dreams come true, the hilarious Steve Buscemi in the subway, Juliette Binoche as the grief mother, the old divorced couple (Gena Rowlands and Ben Gazzara just great, aren`t they?)

Of course I love the Natalie Portman segment the most. hah. love the contemporary shooting style and the train station!!

*** surprise to see Payne acts as Oscar Wilde!
